Proposed Itinerary
Divine Mercy Pilgrimage

For St. Faustina's Feast Day!
Oct 4-7, 2022
--COMPLETED--WHAT A JOURNEY!...

Day 1 - Depart St. Hilary Parish, Fairlawn, at 7:00 a.m. to visit the National Shrine of the North American Martyrs in New York.

Sts. Isaac Jogues and his Jesuit companions were martyred as they evangelized the native Americans here. St. Kateri Tekawitha was also born here. The courage of the three marytrs and that of St. Kateri, a “white martyr” have inspired millions with the zeal of their faith and love for Christ.

Leaving the shrine, we will arrive in Pittsfield, Massachusetts to Holiday Inn, in time for dinner and overnight. Holiday Inn is the tallest building in town with breathtaking views of the Berkshire Mountains in all their fall color glory!

Day 2 - Feast Day of St. Faustina

Leave early in the morning to celebrate St. Faustina’s Feast Day at the National Shrine of Divine Mercy. Take advantage of many prayerful opportunities including confession, Mass, and praying the Stations of the Cross at the life-size bronze depictions and Rosary at the replica of the Grotto Of Lourdes, as well as other shrines and Oratory Chapel.

Get some time for quiet meditation. Shop in the shrine gift shop. Return to the Holiday Inn in time for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 -  Depart Holiday Inn early in the morning to go to the beautiful Ocean Beach in New London, CT, to spend the morning, walk the beach, visit shops, and have lunch before driving to the New Haven pilgrimage center of Blessed Fr. McGivney, founder of the Knights of Columbus.

An amazing  and “inspiring example of fraternal charity, evangelization, and empowerment of the laity, from his humble beginnings as the son of Irish immigrants to his founding of the Knights of Columbus” (https://www.fathermcgivney.org/). He founded the K of C out of concern for families who were in danger of becoming destitute, due to the death of husbands and fathers in the industrial accidents.

Return to the Holiday Inn in time for dinner and final overnight.

Day 4 - After breakfast, if possible, weather permitting, will have an outdoor Mass, then board the bus to return to St. Hilary before midnight.

Please note:  This Itinerary is subject to change based on circumstances at the time.
